As well as our vast library of titles available for DVD, TV and cinema, Hollywood Classics now has several newly acquired titles from Columbia available for DVD. These include:
BUDD BOETTICHER/RANDOLPH SCOTT WESTERNS
The collaboration of auteur director Boetticher and leading man Randolph Scott led to the classic 'Ranown' films, beginning with DECISION AT SUNDOWN (1957), followed by BUCHANAN RIDES ALONE (1958), and concluding with COMANCHE STATION (1960).
GERONIMO: AN AMERICAN LEGEND
One of the newer breed of westerns, this 1993 film boasts a fantastic cast including Jason Patric, Robert Duvall, Gene Hackman, Matt Damon and Wes Studi as the eponymous character. This Oscar-nominated film is based on a true story and examines the infamous Apache revolt against US government maltreatment.
THEODORA GOES WILD
Irene Dunne received a Best Actress nomination for her portrayal of the racy novelist Theodora in this 1936 comedy. Originally censored for 'suggestive situations', this has since been restored to its original uncut version.
Other comedies newly acquired for DVD from Columbia include Frank Capra's AMERICAN MADNESS (1932), and the Jack Lemmon-starring films GOOD NEIGHBOR SAM (1964), IT SHOULD HAPPEN TO YOU (1954) and MY SISTER EILEEN (1955) with Janet Leigh.
