BUTTERFLY KISS (1994)

Cast: Amanda Plummer, Kathy Jamieson
Set on the bleak highways of Lancashire in England, this is the story of a nomadic serial killer and a naive and lonely young girl who falls under her spell.
WITCHFINDER GENERAL (1968)
Directed by: Michael Reeves
Cast: Vincent Price, Rupert Davies, Ian Ogilvy
Price gives a chilling portrayal of witchhunter Matthew Hopkins in the time of Cromwell. An ornate, poetic and bloody evocation of an era of superstition and disorder. The last film of the talented but short-lived Reeves, this is just one of several horror films now available in HD.
KNIFE IN THE WATER (1962)
Directed by: Roman Polanski
Cast: Leon Niemczyk, Jolanta Umecka
One of three early Polanski films now available in HD. This story about a bourgeois couple's encounter with a beatnik hitchhiker was nominated for Best Foreign Language Film at the 1962 Academy Awards. Also available in HD are REPULSION (1965) and CUL-DE-SAC (1966).
EL CID (1961)
Directed by: Anthony Mann
Cast: Charlton Heston, Sophia Loren, Geraldine Page
A lavish, visually impressive film with a huge cast. This is the story of the legendary Spanish hero Rodrigo Diaz ('El Cid' to his followers) who succeeds in driving the Moors from Spain. Also newly available in HD is THE FALL OF THE ROMAN EMPIRE (1964).
