Fellini’s Casanova

Fellini’s darkest film is a dazzling and lavish depiction of the life of Giacomo Casanova, which cracks through the myth of the notorious 18th century author, scientist and womanizer. Donald Sutherland is excellent as the pitiable yet terrifying figure, incapable of displaying any genuine emotion.
