Overlord

A fascinating World War II movie which interweaves archival war footage with the fictional narrative of a twenty-year-olds journey from basic training to the front lines of D-Day, bringing to life all the terrors and isolation of war. The film was photographed by Stanley Kubricks longtime cinematographer John Alcott and won the Silver Bear at the Berlin Film Festival in 1975.
