Cardinal, The

In the Rome of Michelangelo, a 15th century cardinal is bound by religious vows to protect the privacy of the confessional, and thus cannot prove his brother's innocence of a murder charge, even though he has heard the actual murderer's confession. Based on Louis N. Parker's play "The Cardinal."
