St. John Legh Clowes provocative gangster thriller caused outrage on its original released in 1948 as it was the first British film classified as an X. Virginal young heiress Miss Blandish is kidnapped by gangster Slim Grissom. During the kidnapping, Slim starts to fall for his hostage while Miss Blandish too finds herself perversely attracted to the gang leader.
