Hell’s Half Acre

A woman searches for her long-lost husband, presumed dead at Pearl Harbor, in post-WWII Hawaii. She becomes enmeshed in an underworld power struggle when she finds him, now a gangster. He dies so that she may marry again, and so that his son will continue to believe his father died a hero.
