The stars of Lang’s "Woman In The Window" reunite in this masterfully bleak noir. Robinson plays a weak bank clerk who is also an amateur painter. He falls in love with a beautiful femme fatale who, with the help of her pimp / fiancé, passes his paintings off as her own with disastrous consequences.
